Just a heads up to all of our adoring fans. We have just launched the 4.0 version of our site, we are really pleased to offer brand new functions and services, including a premium subscription. We’ll elaborate shortly, but feel free to play around with the new site while we try to work out all the kinks!

For those of you interested. Were putting together a Fantasy Football league. The league is for Domainers and will be competitive. It will be $10 to join and were allowing 14 spots total. First, Second, and Third will be in the cash. You can drop a comment on this post or email us through the contact link and we’ll send out details to those interested.

As you’ve noticed, we’ve been a bit quiet on the blog side. I wanted to inform and update you guys on some new stuff we have been working on. Soon NameBio will launch a new subscription service that will provide our customers with a list of available domain names, everyday. Those available domain names will be from TLD’s from other sold domain names.
For instance, lets say that a .com domain sells on NameJet today for $4,000. We then check to see what other TLD’s are available for that keyword. If say the .org is available, you’ll receive an email notice that we believe it is a “buy” at registration costs. The subscription service will be very reasonable at $7.95 per month (about the cost of a domain registration).
We have some new features as well - and expect to see a new style. If you have suggestions, now is the best time as we still may be able to include them in this update.

Over the past few months we’ve seen several blogs come online with a primary focus of selling domain names. You sign up, and receive daily spammage of domain names for sale. You even see the occasional sale by regular bloggers looking to liquidate some of their portfolio. Guess what? Instead of hammering you with even more domains for sale, Im looking to buy.
Looking for 4 letter .com’s that end in the letter combination CA. Sorry folks, I only want LLLL.com and it MUST end with CA. Please shoot me over an email via our contact us link with what you have and your asking price. Bare in mind, I’m looking for decent prices not end-user jackpots.

I admire the new service Bido.com. I even was happy to offer up my appraisals on a few of their recent domain names. I must comment about something that gave me major distress. I was reviewing my online banking today, to notice a charge on my card for $0.10. Although the amount is not frightening, it was the fact that I didnt recognize the company charging me and that It may very well be a small charge to check if my account is valid, and then hit me up for some major bucks.
It turns out, the company charging me is FuneralHomes.com. I had never heard of the company before and have never spent money with them. I attempted to call my Bank to reach the fraud department. I intended to get my card shut off so now further charges could occur. Unfortunately getting through to my bank proved to me much more complicated on a Sunday then i had expected.
I did one more search online to see if I could find out if this was a known fraud. As it turns out, FuneralHomes.com is owned by Sahar Sarid (One of the creators of Bido). I had signed up for Bido and in order to bid they needed to check my card. Apparently they used their FuneralHomes.com merchant account to charge me. Wouldnt it be a smart idea to tell your bidders thats where the charge would be coming from? Guess not.

On June 1st, NameBio recorded its 38,000th sale and on June 20th, we passed 40,000. In just under 3 weeks we increased the database by 5.25%. The rapid growth of our sales database is largely thanks to the additional NameJet and Snapnames feeds which we now draw from and of course our user submitted sales. The more sales we have in the database the more valuable the service we offer becomes. I would like to extend an invitation to those of you who record domain sales privately to submit them using our submission button at the top right of the site. Just include a screen shot of the sales invoice and the neccessary info and we will get it into the database asap.
Thanks again to our loyal users,
Justin

I want to tip my hat to NameJet, I know I have moaned about them in the past, but this time they did something right by me. I had entered into some auctions where I wasn’t the winning bidder. After I lose, I move on. Well, apparently it doesn’t work like that. When the winning bidder defaulted, the domains went back to auction weeks later, with me as the winning bidder without even realizing it.
I got dinged for 13 domain purchases that I did not want or need (as money had been allocated elsewhere). I didn’t realize at the time what was going on and submitted a ticket with my complaint.
I was surprised to hear this morning that they would refund the domain names that were “won” in this manner as a one time courtesy.
Again, I thank Elisha. It was a slow process via ticket, but it appears she got the job done.
